Stellar Animals

In light of the recent super moon I have looked to the constellations for today’s blog entry.
I looked to Julien Salaud who is working all kinds of intergalactic magic with taxidermy, string and UV lights.

Salaud takes acquired taxidermy and creates a delicate cocoon around it by stringing threads (sometimes beaded) around nail heads that he has hammered into the mount beforehand.

The series is entitled Animaux Stellaires (Stellar Animals). Some of the pieces are pictured lit by black lights which changes the appearance of the threads to create an eerie web. Magical.
